Dogs and their owners have a new space to play thanks to the Town of Lexington. The grand opening and dedication ceremony for the Lexington Paw Park occurred on April 13, 2014 with approximately 100 happy pet owners. Along with a new place to play, the dog owners received a pet waste bag dispenser thanks to the Lexington County Stormwater Consortium. Pet waste is a leading cause of fecal coliform pollution in urban watersheds. All pet owners can do their part by simply picking up their pet waste and placing it in the trash.
